Hello,
On my first day as Iowa Section Manager, I’ve had lots of phone calls and emails from members of the section. I also had a meeting with the Linn County EMA, at their request.
Things are moving along! This is a new era for the Iowa Section. I hope to make a few things better. The list of appointments had 10 Silent Keys (SKs). These have been removed. I posthumously thank them for their service to the amateur radio community.
Effective 1 April 2025:
- Clint, KØGR is appointed Section Emergency Coordinator (SEC). He is well known and respected in the Iowa section. He will be working with the list of current Emergency Coordinators (EC) and Assistant EC appointments.
- Tim, NØCKR is appointed the Section Club Coordinator (SCC). He is very enthusiastic about improving clubs. This was the main focus of my campaign.
I am juggling many requests to attend club meetings across Iowa. Please feel free to contact me if you have questions or concerns.
Good DX!
73s,
Barry, WØIY
Iowa Section Manager
