The Des Moines Radio Amateurs Association (DMRAA) is finalizing preparations for its annual Midwest Hamfest and electronics swapmeet in Central Iowa.
The annual event draws radio amateurs, builders, and hobbyists from across Iowa and neighboring Midwestern states. Highlights include an expansive flea market featuring vintage Collins radio gear, technical forums on digital Winlink packet mesh networks, and an ARRL Section leadership Q&A session.
In addition to equipment trading, ARRL Volunteer Examiners will host testing sessions for Technician, General, and Extra class license applicants, helping grow the amateur radio community in Polk County.
